Abstract: Since the force characteristics and structural feature of truck crane or all-terrain crane will take different effects on bearing capacity of the telescopic boom.To study the influence mechanism and extent,the non-linear finite ele-ment method is used to build the telescopic boom model with different influential factors.The whole-process tracking simula-tion calculation is performed for load-displacement non-linear deformation based on the arc length method,in order to get the effect of material yield strength,load offset,lapping length between telescopic boom,and support position of luffing hy-draulic cylinder on bearing capacity of the boom.The result shows that the arc length method and finite element method can be combined as effective approach for solving buckling problems of load-displacement non-linear deformation of the telescop-ic boom.Material yield strength,lapping length between telescopic boom,and load offset,and support position of luffing hydraulic cylinder all have certain effect on bearing capacity of the boom.Through analysis of the change law,correct meas-ures shall be taken during design to reduce the effect and improve the buckling resistance capacity of the telescopic boom.
