Abstract: The formation element analysis logging tool( FEAT) is playing an more and more important role in the research of complex lithology and shale gas. The tool uses BGO crystal and Am-Be nuclear source. This paper introduces the principle,the circuit design,the solution spectrum method and the test results of this tool. FEAT has logged in more than 20 wells in DaQing and SongYuan,and has been compared with the foreign similar tool in the same wells.
