Abstract: Southern Jiangxi Soviet area was a transportation hub and commercial center back in water transportation times, and it was one of the 36 major cities in Song Dynasty. Since reform and opening up, the soviet area socio-economic progress has been slow and remained underdeveloped. Fol owing the issue of the State Council’s opinion on supporting the central soviet area revitalization, the area makes planning and revitalization strategies and strengthens rational control and preservation of urban resources.
