Abstract: Objective To prepare metronidazole-β-cyclodextrin inclusion complex (MNZ-β-CD),and use appropriate methods for identification of inclusion of MNZ-β-CD.Methods MNZ-β-CD was prepared by ultrasonic.And phase solubility,crystallization microscopy,UV-visible absorption spectrometry,infrared spectrophotometry were used to identify the inclusion of MNZ-β-CD.Result The result showed that phase solubility,crystallization microscopy,UV-visible absorption spectrometry and infrared spectrophotometry could be used for the identification of inclusion complexes of MNZ-β-CD.Conclusion Metronidazole with β-cyclodextrin inclusion complexes was initially proved.The solubility of metronidazole could be increased by preparing the inclusion complex with MNZ-β-CD.
