Inferential Statistical Research on Features of Hourly Variations of Urban Public Transportation Parameters:A Case Study of Baoding

Abstract: The article takes bus-following survey data of Boding as the research object, the approach of ANOVA is adopted to analyze passenger flow volume, travel time and load ratio within 4 hourly periods and 2 days. It is concluded that features of hourly variations on weekdays and weekends are not the same.Weekday is characterized by‘high or flat peaks’, which is consistent with general descriptive experience,while weekend is characterized by ‘before or after the noon’,which is quite a different thing.
