Abstract: Study on hydrogen production from gasification of municipal solid waste(MSW) with insitu steam agent in a fixed bed. The effects of heating mode, reaction temperature and moisture content on gasification characteristics were investigated. The results showed that the fast heating mode has improved the quality of gas and reduced the yield of tar. The gas yield increased with reaction temperature rising, but the yield of tar and char showed an opposite trend. Meanwhile, the contents of H2 and CO increased, and the carbon conversion increased from 30.49% to 56.79%. When the moisture of MSW was39.45%, the quality of gas production was the best, and the highest value of H2 content in gas production reached 25.8%. Meanwhile, the results showed that the low heating value of the product gas reached17.02 MJ/m3. The increasing temperature and introduction of steam could change the apparent morphology of char production. In addition, the BET and ash content of char production increased. In this process, the wet MSW was directly used as raw material for pyrolysis and gasification.
