Abstract: The research on the equilibrium relation between energy consumption and economic growth is of importantly theoretical and practical significance. By using annual data during 1980-2010 of China,the relation between China’s energy consumption and economic growth is tested by cointegration analysis and error correction model. Results show that in this period,there is cointegration relation between energy consumption and economic growth,and furthermore,economic growth can boost energy consumption.
