Abstract: Objective:To survey curative effects of selfmade GongXue mixture in treating menostaxis after the sugery of IUDs. Methods:Forty patients were randomized into the treatment group and the control group. The treat-ment group took GongXue mixture, the control group dirithromycin enteric-coated tablets and carbazochrome sodi-um sulfonate tablets. The improvements of TCM symptoms and the conditions of menstruations of the patients in both groups were observed. Results:Total scales D-values of the menstruation in the treatment group before and af-ter the treatment were (3.05±1.05), higher than (2.15±1.23) of the control group, the scales of the treatment group were decreased evidently (P<0.05), the treatment group was superior to the control group;the difference showed statistical meaning in the comparison between both groups in TCM symptom scales (P<0.05). Conclusion:GongXue mixture could shorten the time of menstruation of the patients suffering from menostaxis (Yin-deficiency stagnant heat pattern) after the sugery of IUDs, reduce menstrual volume, regulate menstrual cycle and improve TCM symp-tom scales.
