Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of ischemic stroke hemiplegia treated by the left rising-right descending acupuncture. Methods: 70 cases of ischemic stroke patients who met the diagnostic criteria were randomly divided into a traditional acupuncture group of 35 patients, using traditional acupuncture treatment, and the left rising-right descending acupuncture group of 35 patients, using the left rising-right descending acupuncture treatment. After 30 days of treatment, the two groups were compared before and after treatment of neurological deficits and activities of daily living to improve the situation. Results: In the left rising- right descending acupuncture group, the reduction rate of neurological deficit score and the degree of disability were significantly different compared with those of the traditional acupuncture group(P < 0.05).The clinical effect of left rising- right descending acupuncture was better than that of the traditional acupuncture group(P < 0.05).Conclusion: The left rising- right descending acupuncture had more advantages in the treatment of ischemic stroke hemiplegia, improving neurological function and activities of daily living than that of traditional acupuncture treatment.
