Abstract: The analysis of the impact on the voltage stability of adding EVs to distribution system is made under several cases based on measured charging data with 5th Gaussian distribution aimed to charging load profile. The effects of the charging of different numbers of EVs on system voltage stability under uncoordinated charging mode and coordinated charging mode with time of use price strategy with different penetrations, and the effects of the percentage of EVs plugged in charging station nodes on system voltage stability are analyzed. The strategy of controllable load is employed based on system voltage stability to improve the ability of system to deal with voltage instability.
