Abstract: Objective To observe the clinical effect of VA-LCP on unstable distal radius fractures. Methods Internal fixation with variable angle LCP were applied on 22 cases of unstable distal radius fractures. Results All patients were followed up for 6- 16 months. All the fractures got union. According to Garland and Werley evaluation system( improved by Sarmiento),11 patients obtained excellent results,10 good results,1 fair results,the excellent and good rate was 95. 5%; According to Batra radiology score system,10 patients obtained excellent results,10 patients obtained good results,the excellent and good rate was90. 9%. Conclusion Internal fixation with VA-LCP in treating the unstable distal radius fractures can provide firm fixation and the patients can exercise early,without losing,it is an effective way to treat the unstable distal radius fractures.
