Abstract: Based on FLAC3D ,a numerical model of reinforced gabion retaining wall has been built, the distribution lows of its earth pressure, deformation, reinforcement tensile stress have been studied, and the influence of reinforced spacing, gabion box width and reinforcement length to the retaining wall have been analyzed.Research shows that:the earth pressure distribution rule is different to the classical earth pressure theory calculation value;the deformation on the upper of wall is bigger than that on the lower;the tensile stress of geosynthetics distributes nonlinearly in the band long direction, with the reinforcement spacing decreases, the lateral deformation of retaining wall is reduced, the tensile stress of reinforcement decreased, but when the distance are respectively 0.7 m,0.8 m,0.9 m,the maximum tensile stress of re-inforcements is basically the same;the gabion box wall itself is the equivalent of a gravity retaining wall, and with gabion box width increases, the deformation of retaining wall and the tensile stress is re-duced.With the increase of reinforcement length, the lateral deflection of wall decreases, but when the band length is more than 0.67 times of wall height, the lateral deformation of retaining wall and reinforced material maximum tensile stress changes no longer.
