Abstract: The jacketed pipe design is used in the CO shift non-condensable gas pipeline which from purifying unit to sulfur recovery unit in Shenhua Baotou Coal-to-Olefin plant . While the plant start-up originally and both the units operating in the simultaneously ,overpressure phenomenon occurs in the condensate stripper . After cutting the jacketed pipeline in overhaul ,the inner pipe is found collapsed by the vapor from the jacketed pipe . After analysis and checking ,the real cause of the collapsed inner pipe is found .the solution is proposed ,and the learned lessons in the CO shift non-condensable gas pipeline design is summarized .
