Abstract: This paper reviewed on A study of Idioms:description, comprehension, acquisition, and pedagogy by Dilin Liu, Ph.D., teaches at the University of Alabama, USA. The book combines theories and practice as a holistic approach to present a comprehensive, up-to-date coverage of idioms, the comprehension and acquisition of idioms, and the learning and teaching of idioms from the perspective of L2 learner, educator and researcher. Compared with those similar books concerning idiom research, it is unique and provides value im-plication for foreign language teaching.
