Study on underground water filling pipeline detection by ground penetrating radar

Abstract: Underground pipeline is very important as an infrastructure of a city.The pipeline detection is important to the daily operation and the expansion of urban.Based on the finite difference time domain methods(FDTD),adopted the generalized completely matched layer(GPML) as absorbing boundary,an two-dimensional forward modeling is performed on the underground pipeline with different water content.Combined with physical model detection,the characteristics and rules of radar image of different water containing pipelines are summarized.The method could provide an essential theoretical basis for the underground pipeline detection.
