Abstract: Objective: To investigate the role of human papillomavirus(HPV) detection, liquid based cytology test(thinprep cytologic test,TCT) and colposcopy biopsy in pathologic diagnosis in the screening of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions.Methods:1537 cases of female patients were selected from January 2011 to December 2013.They were divided into two groups.1172 cases were given TCT test.365 cases were given HPV-DNA detection. If the measuring results of the two methods were positive, the cases were detected by colposcopy in cervical tissue pathology.Results:49 cases were positive in 1172 cases with TCT detection(4.18%).53 cases were positive in 365 cases with HPV-DNA detection(14.52%).The positive rate of HPV-DNA detection was higher than that of TCT detection. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.01).The combine detection methods of HPV testing,liquid-based cytology and colposcopy assisted. It can improve the diagnostic accuracy significantly, and more suitable for routine screening of cervical cancer and precancerous lesions. So the positive patients can be timely colposcopy biopsy diagnosed as early as possible and treated as soon as possible,in order to avoid delay time.
