Application of LDAR Technology in Chemical Plant Leakage Loss Evaluation

Issue:8 Journal:Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection Keyword:leakage detection and repair; chemical plant; leakage; loss evaluation; Abstract:This paper introduces a kind of loss evaluation method based on leakage detection and repair technology and also it is applied in a device with an annual output of 106 000 tons of ethyl benzene and 100 000 tons of ethylene each year .The results show that :the device leakage rate falls from 0 .77% to 0 .52% and the leakage losses are reduced from 17 707 kg to 9311kg when using LDAR technology in 16 607 seal sections .
