Abstract: DREB(dehydration responsive element binding protein)transcription factors play an important role in plant tolerance to adverse environments.A DREBgene from Ammopiptanthus mongolicus strongly induced by low temperature and drought stress was identified using the RNASeq technology.The complete coding region of cDNA and gDNA fragments were cloned by PCR method,they both contain 726 base pairs,therefore no intron in this gene.The protein structure prediction showed that it is composed of 241 amino acid residues,contains a conserved AP2 domain and a nuclear localization signal,and most likely to be localized in nucleus.Because of its high homology with the DREB1F proteins identified from other plant species such as Arabidopsisthaliana,the gene was designated as AmDREB1F.The complete coding region cDNA fragment of AmDREB1F was successfully constructed into plant expression vector pCAMBIA3301.The work laid a foundation for further functional analysis of AmDREB1F.
