Abstract: Suspended solids of four sewage samples with different concentrations have been detected by gravimetric method,and the uncertainty of measurement value of each concentration has been evaluated,based on the detection results. A mathematical model is established according to the experimental procedure ,and the sources of uncertainty are analyzed. The uncertainty division,synthesis uncertainty and extension uncertainty of the samples with different concentrations are calculated. The dominant uncertainty division has been found ,so as to make the method for calcu-lating the uncertainty evaluation become easier and more practical.
