Abstract: Salt bed of salt fields in northern shanxi province are super-thick, so horizontal docking salt wells were widely used. The operation mode of horizontal docking salt wells and the shapes of underground dissolved chamber were discussed, and the results shows that the dissolved chamber of horizontal docking salt wells with super-thick salt bed were irregular cylindrical pot bottom.
