Analysis on Microstructure and Precipitation Phase of 1 000 MPa Grade High Strength Steel

Abstract: The article studies the microstructure and precipitation phase of 1 000 MPa grade high strength steel by using optical metallographic microscope(OM),scanning electron microscope(SEM)and transmission electron mi-croscope(TEM). The results indicate that the microstructure consists of lath bainite,lath martensite and a little resid-ual austensite. A mass of precipitates distribute in bainite matrix with average size from 30 to 60 nm. Microstructure strengthening,precipitation strengthening and dislocation strengthening are the main strengthening mechanisms.
