Abstract: Q960 high strength steel plate of 5 mm thickness × 3 150 mm width produced by Nangang 3 500 mm Steckel Mill encounters serious buckling defect. By optimizing rolling processes such as reheating temperature,coiling tension,coiling speed,coiler furnace temperature,pass reduction,as rolled plate profile is significantly improved,un-flatness is reduced from initial 15 ~ 25 mm/ m to current 6 ~ 12 mm/ m,which provides the basis for maintaining a good profile control result after subsequent quenching and tempering.
