Abstract: Deaf Identity refers to the acceptance of deaf people, including people who are hard of hearing, towards their own culture and their identities, the development of which is influenced by many factors, such as the educational background, the family environment, the communicational mode, the length of time and the degree of the hearing loss and so on. The research findings also show that there exists another important influential factor of Tibetan Deaf Identity, namely, religious values of Tibetan Buddhism. This paper has explored deeply the influence of the religious values on Tibetan Deaf Identity from three aspects, that is, the view of living and life and moral outlook of Tibetan Buddhism.
