Abstract: Education is quasi-public goods. Education aid as a nonprofit course is one of the channels through which international social responsibility can be fulfilled. In comparison with Japan’s practice, the influence and potential effects of China’s assistance on constructing schools in Africa are very limited. In order to show international responsibility and shape a good image,China’s assistance to African basic education should be formulated with a long-term plan, sustainability and innovation.
