Abstract: From the perspectives of Taoist culture in legendary plays,we can find that the contents and structures of"soul-releasing and Moksa"in them have changed dramatically, comparing with Taoist Morality Plays in Yuan and Ming Dynasties. Simultaneously, many providential plots, rescued and helped events play very important roles in driving the plot and presenting the value of Karma, which indicates that good has its reward and evil has its recompense. In addition,in the legendary plays there are also a lot of shows presenting Taoist Rites Spell, which are the integral part for highlighting the theme, characterizing the roles and organizing the plots.
