Abstract: This paper introduces Analytic Hierarchy Process ( AHP) to evaluate groundwater quality .Based on results of single factor evaluation , a secondary assessment on groundwater quality is done and the significance of the main factor is clear .A hierarchy structure model is established for experts to evaluate the weight of each factors .Based on the measured data of two wells named Q 1 and Q2, The groundwater quality was comprehensively analyzed by using the method of Single factor assessment , Nemerow compre-hensive index and AHP .The comparison between the three evaluations indicates that AHP is much more practical and accurate in groundwater quality evaluation .
