Abstract: To solve the problems in tunnel support ,we apply steel plate concrete as the surrounding rock support .Here we introduce the new support method ,and compare the performances such as safety ,progress ,waterproof ,bearing capacity of tunnel construction with the segment lining support and bolt-shotcrete support .The results show that steel plate concrete support ,a new support ,can be used to improve tunnel quality ,shorten construction time and low the cost .
