Abstract: Objective: To evaluate the quality of life of adult patients with allergic rhinitis in Shihezi and its surrounding area. Methods: The self-designed questionnaire was used to survey the general information,and the rhino conjunctivitis quality of life questionnaire( RQLQ) was used to assess the quality of life. Results:( 1) 65. 9%( 56 cases) of the patients were with persistent AR,62. 4% didn’t know the allergen;( 2) The total score of RQLQ was 2. 48 ± 1. 41,the score of the nasal symptoms( 3. 14 ± 1. 77) and the actual problems( 2. 97 ± 1. 76) were higher than the others;( 3) The type of AR was significantly correlated with RQLQ. There were significant difference between the two types in RQLQ;( 4) The seven aspects of RQLQ were correlated with each other,and three of the closest were: nasal symptoms and actual problems,sleep and non nasal or eye symptoms,nasal symptoms and sleep. Conclusion: The quality of life of adult patients with allegic rhinitis in ShiHezi were relatively poor. The most affected aspects were nasal symptoms and the actual problem. More attention should be paid to the quality of life of patients with AR in Shihezi.
