Resistant Characters of Wheat Variety Mianmai 37 to Stripe Rust and Powdery Mildew

Abstract: Mianmai 37is an important variety and resistant source material in Sichuan province.And its resistant characters to stripe rust and powdery mildew were investigated,the results showed that there were 51isolates of Puccinia striiformis f.sp tritici among 846isolates which were virulent to Mianmai 37at seedling stage during 2010-2012,including CYR33,CYR32,Su11-2,Su11-3,Su11-4,HY8,HY9,HY4,G22-9and G22-14,and these isolates distributed in Gansu,Sichuan and Shanxi province.The frequency of isolates from Sichuan and Longnan region,Gansu province was higher than that from Shanxi province.Wheat variety Mianmai 37did not have resistance in field to the new isolates G22-9and G22-14of stripe rust,which emergence and accumulation since 2011.According to the results of 4years inspection,wheat variety Mianmai 37was resistant to powdery mildew in field in Longnan region,Gansu province.Mianmai 37may be used as resistant source to powdery mildew in plant breeding.
