Simulation and Experimental Investigations of Temperature Field for High Frequency Induction Cladding

Abstract: The temperature distribution in the substrate and coatings under different processing parameters was established using finite element method, NiCrBSi coating was manufactured on 35CrMo sucker rod steel using high frequency induction heating technology. The results show that the melting point of NiCrBSi alloy arrives 1100 ℃ when the frequency is 105 Hz, the current is 1400 A, and the heating time is 14 s. At this time, the metallurgical bonding is formed between the NiCrBSi coating and substrate. The simulation results are in accordance with the experimental ones, through observing the cladding coating structure and analyzing the phase, which can offer reliable optimization of the high frequency induction parameters on the sucker rod.
