Abstract: 25Cr3MoA steel was chosen as material object, different machining technologies combining with dry or wet sand blowing were used to prepare different degrees on surface roughness for materials 25Cr3MoA. JB-3C roughness degree testing instrument and stereo microscope were used to inspect nitride layers. Then the materials were subjected to a heat-treatment in nitrogen. Effects of surface roughness degrees on depth and microstructure of nitride layer were researched. Reasons of difference were analyzed.
