Study on Heat Treatment Process of Ti-62222s Alloy

Abstract: The effects of alloy composition, thermal processing and heat treatment process on the microstructure and properties of Ti-62222s alloy were introduced. The effects of quenching temperature, cooling rate of the beta area and the(alpha + beta) area, aging time on microstructure and mechanical properties were reviewed. The results show that the beta forging +(alpha + beta) heat treatment + aging and conventional forging(deformation of 50%) + triple heat treatment can get the most excellent matching for the material performance, which provided references for further development of high strength and toughness titanium alloys.
