Abstract: Time-frequency analysis on track irregularity and accurate extraction of detrimental wavelengths cau-sing car-body excitation are of great importance to the repair and maintenance of railway lines.This paper pro-posed the automatic extraction algorithm of track irregularity characteristic (detrimental)wavelengths:At first,acquiring adaptively the track irregularity and car-body vibration signals in all frequency bands with the DWT (Discrete Wavelet Transform)method,and then analyzing the (cross)Wigner-Ville time-frequency ener-gies for the signals;using the HT (Hough Transform)to further suppress the cross distracters;deriving the formula for extracting track irregularity characteristic (detrimental)wavelengths lastly.The track inspection data of the Shuo-Huang Heavy Haul Railway from 2011.07 to 2012.10 were checked,showing that the auto-matic extraction algorithm was correct.The statistical values of the track irregularity characteristic wavelengths of the Shuo-Huang Railway are of reference to operating management and maintenance of heavy haul railway in our country.
