Abstract: Objectives Discussing the histogenesis,clinical manifestations,diagnosis,therapy and prognosis of mature teratoma in adrenal gland,in order to improve the understanding of the disease.Methods The clinical data of one case of adrenal teratoma who had undergone surgical treatment in our hospital was analyzed retrospectively,combined with literature review.Results Adrenal maturity teratoma originates from totipotent cell.Its signs and symptoms are not typical.On computed tomographic scans,teratoma is frequently shown as a heterogeneous fat dense mass with calcifications.Magnetic resonance T2 weighed images show teratoma as a highlighted intensity around the tumor components.Tumor markers in the differential diagnosis has certain reference value,pathological examination is the ultimate basis for diagnosis.Conclusions Adrenal mature teratoma is very rare,which is divided into mature and immature types.The effect of surgical treatment on adrenal maturity teratoma is good and has a favorable prognosis.
