Abstract: In order to investigate the effects of grid plate package pin-plugging tobacco loading frame( GPTF) on quality of tobacco leaves in bulk curing barn,the experiment was conducted with loose leaf curing by the nicotine-reducing stick( LCRS) as control. The results showed: I. Loading tobacco leaves of capability of GPTF whose width was 500 mm,was about 7,000 kg,far more than that of the control of LCRS. Coal consumption of per kg dry leaves and per h of each bulk curing barn with GPTF was lower than that with LCRS. II. There wasn’t difference between GPTF and LCRS on appearance quality in color distinguish,but the leaf shape of the cured tobacco leaves of GPTP was similar to peaks in curing with flat leaves and the straight main vein. III. GPTP with higher value of the ratio of total sugar to reducing and ratio of sugar to nicotine was significantly different at P < 0. 05. IV. The content of the neutral aroma components was less than that of LCRS.
