Precision Compensation and Control for CNC Floor-type Boring and Milling Machine Spindle Ram

Abstract: As the basic equipment for industrial manufacturing,large CNC floor-type boring and milling machineshave been widely used in machinery equipment processing area. To solve the countersunk deformation problem of large CNC floor-type boring and milling machines caused by the dead weight of the ram,a set of tension compensation mechanism based on electro-hydraulic servo proportional valve is designed to reduce the deformation through finite element simulation analysis and calculation. And a PLC feedback control system is designed for precision compensation and control on CNC floor-type boring and milling machine spindle ram as well. Experiment data show that the proposed compensation scheme has greatly improved the regulation of bow deformation of large floor boring and milling machine spindle ram at work,and improved the machining accuracy significantly.
