Abstract: In the debate on the conceptualization of supply chain management( SCM) in foreign research,the relationship between collaboration and performance is an important topic. We first focus on the SC collaboration practices and discuss the different categorizations of collaborative practices existing in the foreign literatures on SCM. Then from the perspective of enterprise resource theory,we expect that our research can seek to test the link between different categorizations of collaborative practices and collaboration and different organizational levels of commitment as well as the capacities in collaboration. By extending the "fit"concept of contingency theory and using the research findings of different functional forms for reference,this study puts forward a"contingency chart "and applies it in the comparative studies of related literatures of the relationship between SC collaboration and performance.
