Abstract: The main bridge of the Minjiang River Bridge on Fuzhou-Pingtan Railway is a prestressed concrete continuous rigid-frame bridge with span arrangement(110+198+110)m.The main girder of the bridge is the C60concrete single-cell single-box girder with variable section and is provided with three-way prestressing system.To accommodate to the creep deformation to occur in the main girder,the necessary conditions for tensioning the external prestressing strands have heen preserved in the girder.The main piers are the double thin-walled piers that are rigidly fixed with the main girder.A foundation supporting the pier has 16nos.of2.8mbored piles. The main girder is constructed by the cantilever casting method and the closure sequence of the girder proceeds from the side spans first and the central span late.The software BSAS4.32is used to calculate the structural static force of the main bridge and also the vehicle-bridge coupling dynamic responses when three types of the vehicles pass through the bridge.The results of the calculation show that the rigidity and strength of the bridge at both the construction and operation stages can meet the relevant requirements in the codes.The bridge has good dynamic and train travailing performance and the safety and riding comfort of the trains passing through the bridge can meet the requirements as well.
