Abstract: Chronic liver diseases such as hepatitis, hepatitis-related cirrhosis and liver cancer do great harm to human beings, however, the efficacy of different therapeutic regimens on chronic liver diseases is not very satisfactory. Biotherapy can provide a new treatment strategy, and selecting an appropriate vector for gene transfer is particularly important for successful gene therapy. Much attention has been paid to adenoviral vectors in the gene treatment of chronic liver diseases due to its properties. This review focuses on the research progress of adenovirus vectors in the treatment of chronic liver diseases.
