Abstract: Objective To understand the status of insomnia in Zhumadian high school students and its related fac-tors.Methods Insomnia severity index(ISI) ,self rating anxiety scale(SAS) ,beck depression inventory(BDI) were used to in-vestigate 4984 high school students of 13-19 ages by cluster random sampling.Results The total incidence of Mild insomnia was 24.8% ,the incidence of moderate and severe insomnia was 5.1%. Single factor analysis showed that the incidence of in-somnia of women was slightly more than that of men ,and insomnia was related with resident ,learning pressure and low inter-est in learning ,SAS and BDI scoe.Logistic regression analysis showed incidence of insomnia was mainly related to age ,resi-dent ,SAS and BDI score.Conclusion Insomnia is more common among high school students ,the incidence increases with age.Insomnia is obviously related with anxiety and depression.
