Abstract: Based on the coupling analysis of dynamic load characteristics in demand side and power output characteristics of photovoltaic(PV) system in supply side,on account of the principle of "Main for self-use,remains for grid",an economic assessment model for residential PV system is developed.Using the model,a residential PV system in Shanghai is selected for analysis.According to simulation results,investment recovery period of PV system is 12.4 years based on current policies in China;In addition,as for China,the most practical and effective way of promoting PV system adoption is rising the FIT(feed in tariff) rate.
