Efficiency analysis and comparison of microgrid based on improved Gauss-Seidel power flow algorithm

Abstract: According to all kinds of microgrid topologies,using IGBT/DIODE loss calculation model of conversion,combined with the Gauss-Seidel power flow algorithm,a modified Gauss-Seidel power flow algorithm,which includes IGBT/DIODE loss calculation models,is presented in this paper.Efficiencies of five microgrids with different topologies are calculated and compared under Matlab/Simulink.At an assumed load power factor of 0.8,the simulation results show that DC microgrid with ring topology has the highest efficiency,however the AC microgrid with tree topology has the lowest efficiency.
