Abstract: A method was established for the analysis in synthesis of isophorone by GC. FID detector and HP- 5 capillary column were used to quantify acetone,isophorone,diacetone alcohol and mesityl oxide. The recovery was 97. 7 ~ 102. 4,the RSD was no higher than 3. 9613,the coefficient of variation was no higher than 0. 28% and the linear correlation coefficient was 1 for all products. The method was proper for quantified isophorone and its by-products.
