Abstract: Catalytic dry gas is a byproduct of refning-chemical enterprise catalytic unit, it is rich in ethylene and ethane and is originally and commonly used as non-utility fuel gas. Based on the planning scheme of a certain enterprise’s catalytic dry gas purification project, the article analyzes the techno-economics of purified catalytic dry gas as raw material of ethylene plant via PIMS modeling system according to the simulated evaluation. The result indicates that, compared with the naphtha & propane, the yield of ethylene of the end-gas is higher and the margin value is higher. At the same time, it also indicates that, the factors such as natural gas and ethylene price have great influence upon the economic performance of purified catalytic dry gas as raw material of ethylene plant.
