Abstract: A correct understanding of the true spirit of Marxist philosophy is indispensible to upholding and developing it. The scientific method which takes dialectical materialism and historical materialism as its two pillars and understanding and changing the world as its two key missions constitutes the true spirit of Marxist methodology. The essence of Marxist philosophy is its critical spirit and dialectical at-titude,which is a complete unification between its world view and a scientific methodology. The key to better grasping and sticking to the true spirit of Marxism lies in our keeping pace with the times,de-pending on the practice,and understanding Marxism from the perspective of methodology.
