Abstract: Objective:To explore the value of low-field MRI for the diagnosis of occult traumatic frac-ture of the knee.Method: 75 patients, who experienced knee traumas with obvious clinical symptoms and negative radiographic findings ,had MRI examinations in a week .They underwent T 1 WI, T2 WI and STIR se-quence.Result:A total of 83 occult fractures of the knee joint were detected in the 75 patients. The fracture imaging showed hypo-intensity on T1WI,slightly high intensity on T2WI, and marked hyperintensity on STIR, with ligament and soft tissue injuries and with linear abnormal signal intensity .Conclusion: MRI is the best method in the diagnosis of occult fracture of the knee joint ,which can avoid the misdiagnosis and missed diagnosis of occult fractures in the knee joint to a great extent .
