Abstract: In the hybrid seabuckthorn plantation without irrigation, the drought will lead to the fruit failure by half or more, the uneven distribution of rainfall during the year is the main reason causing drought which affected seabuckthorn both vegetative growth and fruit growth. Soil drought is the reason to lead to the decrease of photosynthetic and transpiration capacity. Because serious water stress made the roots absorb less water from soil which used for transpiration and photosynthesis, leading to low le-ver photosynthesis productivity. So irrigation is the key measure in order to prevent the drought impac-tion and healthy growth for plants as well as higher fruit yield of seabuckthorn.
