Abstract: OTN is the transport network that is based on wavelength -division multiplexing tech-nology and in optical layer organization network ,it is the main transport network in the next genera-tion .The paper describes the concept ,features and multiplexing ,mapping principle ,OTN equipment of the optical transport network , and briefly introduces the application of optical transport network (OTN ) .
