Abstract: In the paper, the conservation mechanism of silicone for stone cultural relics was explained and the application and investigation of different kind of silicone materials on stone cultural relics were summarized. Furthermore, the future trends and prospective of silicone materials used to protect the stone cultural relics were discussed.
