Abstract: With the increasing penetration of renewable energy, energy storage technology turns to be an absolute necessary support for safe, stable and efficient operation of grid.According to the instantaneous change of vanadium redox flow batteries(VRB), vanadium flow batteries equivalent circuit is given.System model is built which includes 3 kW wind turbines and all vanadium flow batteries. The power characteristic of combined system is researched. The combined system model analyzes power characteristic of the system under variable wind speed constant load and varying load constant wind speed respectively. The simulation tests show that the model can simulate the working characteristic of joint system of wind turbines and vanadium flow batteries.
